Grief is An Ongoing Journey
Grief is not a linear path nor a fixed destination, we arrive at and leave behind
rather, it is a continuous process that reshapes us over time

The loss of our loved ones changes our lives forever
Grief is always a painful and prolonged journey
For those of us who are grieving for our loved ones
We all must journey through it, not around it
Grief is often a long journey and plagued by darkness
We find ourselves alone on this empty road sometimes
Where nobody stops for us to comfort us or just a hug
Because for most people, our grief ends with the funeral
You may have heard or believed that from people
Your grief journey will come to end one day
But your journey will never have an endpoint
Because we do not get over the loss of a loved one
Grief is consistently inconsistent and intensely personal
Grief is an ongoing journey, not a destination
And Journeys do not always go smoothly
Because it is the hardest journey we will ever walk
Grief is a journey of leaning how to live with it
How to carry our loved ones with us for the rest of our life
Because grief continues throughout our lifetime
We must walk through every painful inch of it
Grief is ultimately a personal journey
No one can tell you what or when you should be feeling
Remember it may not be a journey to be travelled alone
So find your own path through your journey

I am a motherless daughter and an adult orphan, who loves passionately and grieves intensely, as I write and share about my personal grief journey with others, after I lost my darling Mum on 04 October 2022
to major stroke so suddely and so unexpectedly, with the hope that it might comfort, help and inspire people on their own journey.
"Mum, I carry your strength
with every step I take
on this new path "
