A Little Unique Lady
Little lady, endless love, eternal light, Mum
thank you for being our lighthouse, our heart, our home, our everything

My darling Mum, you were a little unique lady
but your presence was immense, you were
small in stature, but your spirit was enormous
you were a wisp of a woman, with eyes that
held entire constellations, you were a force of
cosmic love, with a heart so vast it could have
held the ocean, the sky, and every star between
The day you gently wandered away from us
the world lost a rare and remarkable soul
your departure was as unassuming as your life
but to those who knew you, you were a giant
because you did not just care for people, you
claimed them, you treated strangers like family
you made everyone feel like your favourite
It is so damn hard to find words big enough
to describe you, who loved without conditions
and gave without hesitation, your hands were
tiny miracles, your laughter was a language of
its own, your kitchen was an embassy of comfort
even now, your large heart continues to beat in
all of us, we are still yours, and you are still ours
My dearest, tiniest, pettiest, mightiest lady
you showed us that greatness is not measured
in inches, but in immeasurable impact, that a
single life, lived with radical tenderness, can
ripple across generations, you would loathe all
this fuss, but the world refuses to stop loving you
and love, is the only thing that outlives everything

I am a motherless daughter and an adult orphan, who loves passionately and grieves intensely, as I write and share about my personal grief journey with others, after I lost my darling Mum on 04 October 2022
to major stroke so suddely and so unexpectedly, with the hope that it might comfort, help and inspire people on their own journey.
"Mum, I carry your strength
with every step I take
on this new path "
